Who we are
Chi-Otium helps organisations build people who perform well and stay well. We combine evidence-based psychology, especially Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with grounding and somatic practice, all taught in plain, secular, workplace-ready language.
Our flagship programme, The Cultivation Pathway, uses the FARR framework to give teams practical skills and a shared language for pressure and difficult moments. We also run para-counselling skills training, and offer one-to-one coaching, counselling and breathwork in English and Mandarin.
Chi-Otium was founded by Desmond Lim. Desmond spent more than 20 years in senior roles in consultancy firms and has 12 years of experience in the wellness industry. He holds an MSc in Counselling, a Graduate Diploma in Positive Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Health Psychology, and is a member of APACS. A long-time contemplative practitioner, he brings research and practice together in sessions that are calm, practical and human.
